SharePoint offers a rich environment for web design and web content management. One question that we often see is "How does SharePoint compare to Wordpress?" SharePoint web design is done through SharePoint's publishing feature. Once the feature has been activated, a Site Collection Administrator (SCA) will need to setup the master page and any page layouts that will be used in the web site. Once this has been done, permission can be granted to anyone to modify and maintain page content. This allows responsibility for content to be assigned to the subject matter experts rather than having to depend on a single web master to maintain all of the content for the web site.
